Commercial glasswashers are generally manufactured to be robust and reliable, but occasionally, things can go wrong.
Detergent and rinse aid dosing pumps and injectors can become problematic, not dosing correctly, or not dosing at all.
Wash pumps, rinse pumps, and drain pumps can eventually suffer from wear and tear, blockages, and component failure.
Wash tank and rinse tank heating can also become a problem, either through overheating or insufficient heating.
Heating elements and thermostats can fail without any notice.
The wash tank temperature should ideally reach between 50° and 55° centigrade, which ensures effective cleaning.
The rinse tank temperature should be higher, reaching between 60° and 65° centigrade.
Higher temperatures can cause thermal shock to your glassware, possibly resulting in breakage/shaterring.
At these temperatures, your glassware will be sanitised, and it is unlikely that any bacteria will survive.
Your glassware should also dry without streaks or smears.
